Strong rumours surfacing that spurs have agreed a fee for soldado.

I don't think he's what we need anyway. I'd prefer someone to play WITH sturridge not instead of him.

Bernard would be a much better fit IMO but if we did want a proper striker then I think Rodrigo would be the best option. Very similar to Sturridge; fast, skillful, good movement, good finisher.

Anyway just my opinion.

Andre Silva is pretty average and not worth anywhere near what Milan paid.

Little bit of fun. If you could only sign 1 of the following rumoured wingers, who would you go for and why?

Julian Brandt (Bayer)
Mo Salah (Roma)
Keita Balde Diao (Lazio)

I honestly think any one of those would instantly improve us in a position we are weak in!

I'd be more than happy with Brandt as he's Klopps target but Mo Salah right now is the better player by some way. Double figures last year on goals and assists and almost took Roma to the title in their highest points scoring season to date.

He's come on a lot since Chelsea and would be a great option on the wing. There's no African cup of nations this season and tbh we should be able to manage without 1 or 2 players for a few weeks!

Brandt has plenty of potential but if you want immediate impact, Salah is the better choice.

This is of course if the rumours are even true re Mo Salah.

Just my 2 cents on the Clichy debate.

Everyone remember Dani Alves?

He left Barcelona and most teams wouldn't touch him. His wage demands were high, he wasn't known to be great defensively and he was the wrong side of 30. Now look at the season he has just had with Juventus!

Fullbacks are a funny breed. Arguably two of the best in Europe last year were Alves and Lahm who are both really getting.

Let's hope Saints do is a favour here.

We could end up with top 4 due to the Arsenal and Man U being poor more than our own success. Either way.
