Benteke, Clyne, Milner and Ings. all good signings.

Firmino, by all accounts, should/could be a success.

Don't know much about Adam Bogdan, but you boys are looking good.

Evening Eds and Reds.

Remember me?

Just thought I would pop in and say hello, as requested by Ed.

No jokes, I promise lol.

So, how do you rate your season?
Obviously, you haven't reached the dizzy heights of last season, but replacing Mr Nibbles was never going to be easy.

On reflection, did BR spend the Suarez cash wisely?
Has Llalana been a success?
What's happened to crazy boy Balotelli?
It was always going to be hit or miss with him, but did you expect more?

dagenham gunner

{Ed044's Note - evening DG. Nice to see you back here.😊. No, the cash was not spent wisely. The Llama has struggled with injury, but I still really rate him, and I'm sure he'll come good. Balotelli was a stupid stupid buy (as much about suitability as talent), and says much about our transfer policy. Your team have really started to grow up this year, congratulations. I hear we've put in a bid of £10,000,001 for Walcott - will you miss him? 😉}

1.) Ed,

I think you did a typo mate.

Did you mean £10,000,000 plus Coutinho for Theo? Lol.

{Ed042's Note - yeah he missed sanchez there 10 million + Coutinho for Walcott +Sanchez

2.) Nice to see you back DG, bit of a pretty naff season for us from the dizzy heights "as you say" from last.
If we can get Klopp a would defo give br the push as Klopp would get a lot more out of this bunch of players, he'd defo be able to attract the 2 or 3 players we need to be top 4 or even challenging for that evasive title we crave.
Ps llalana will come good form is temporary class is permanent as they say!!!
Let's forget balo ever happened lol

3.) Ed042,
Are you having a giraffe mate?
You would love our boy Sanchez in your ranks, the nearest player I have ever seen to the brilliant Suarez.
HANDS OFF, lol.

Evening Knuckles.
Klopp would indeed be a big upgrade on BR but not sure where he will end up mate.

Agree on Balo, not just a bad boy but a bad buy.

{Ed044's Note - oh I've missed you so much.☺️}

4.) Haha, I know you have Ed.

5.) Yeah be great if we could get him unless you guys get rid of wenger and take him on lol. Hopefully with a cpl of good additions in the summer we can challenge for top 4 next season, where hopefully our fans on here be respectful and some good banter with you lot next season pal. Over and out!
Ps enjoy your summer away from footy and hopfully see you on here for some good old banter next season.

6.) Season: average. Rubbish start made worse by Sturridge being injured by England. Good in the middle back to playing attacking football. Ran out of steam again leading to a poor end. Don't know what we are feeding these players but they have no stamina anymore.

Did Rodgers spend wisely? I don't know, but whoever did spend the cash only did half a job. Part 1) - increase squad numbers due to champions league. Part 2) (not done) - replace Suarez.
I'm not going to say if Lallana is a success or not, it's his first season and it's been interrupted by injuries. Judge him next season.
Mario - He's the Pete Doherty of football. Everyone bangs on about how he's a genius and so talented yet he's too busy being a complete pillock to produce anything more than a 30 second cameo. Sell him to QPR or something.

Afternoon all.

Simple question.

Who is worse, us or you? Lol.

I'm going to say you lot, only to make myself feel better :-)

PS, hope you and your families are in good health and looking forward to Christmas, or Crimbo as you boys call it, lol.

dagenham gunner

1.) Afternoon DG. Hope you are well. I would have to say that there's not much in it. You've got a vastly experienced manager with a proven track record, refusing to budge from the way he wants to play, even when its not working.
We've got a very inexperienced manager, refusing to budge....
I hope that both managers stop being so stubborn. fast. (you're still worse than us though!)

2.) 26 Nov 2014 15:37:27
Afternoon/Evening DG (depending on when you see this ;-) )
Well that's a toughie
You know what I think I'll skip this. Difficult to answer without bias. Though following yours and bens example id say you lot are worse.
On another note watched the man u game and seems that Wilshire is up to his own usual antics. I fear if he continues like this there will be a syndrome named after him- The Wilshire Syndrome- take the ball run for 20 yards fall down without any contact and whinge like a kid
Do you think he will ever truly reach his true potential?
P.s - I am just talking about him as I am too depressed to talk about us
P.P.s- Hope your family is in good health anf the preparations are in full swing
P.P.s- Not looking forward to it as it means the finals are only 1&1/2 months away

3.) I'm upset with you dags. I asked for a joke on your page and you left me hanging.

Also, arsenal would win 6-5. With 8 own goals in the game.

4.) Evening Gents,
I knew you would sidestep the question lol.

44ed, you are correct mate.
I see Rodgers in Wenger and vice versa mate.

042,
That is so typical Wilshere mate but I loved the way he frightened Fellaini, lol.

TjRed,
Mate, I posted a joke for you the same day, honest.
Here it is again.
I went into my barbers today and asked for a Liverpool FC haircut.
Messy at the back, not much on the sides and nothing up front.

Lol

{Ed044's Note - you're one of my favourite visitors to the site DG, but please, don't give up the day job...😉}

5.) Always a pleasure Ed, lol

Evening Gents,

Just for the record, I'm not a fan of Balotelli, but do you think he was always staring down the barrel of a shotgun?

He was brought in to replace Suarez, the best striker in the world, so he was always going to find it difficult.

OK, he does himself no favours, ie half term shirt swaps, but Suarez is almost impossible to replace, unless you signed Costa or Aguero.

Suarez is a 30 goals a season man, Balo never will be.
Suarez would run all day. Balo never will.
Suarez could play up top on his own. Balo can't.
Suarez gave 100% every game. Balo doesn't.

We had the same with Thierry, almost impossible to replace.
So, my question, do you think Suarez's shadow will hang over Anfield like a dark cloud for years to come?

dagenham gunner

{Ed044's Note - it's not Balos fault, but I suspect he was not BRs preferred target to 'replace' Suarez. Sanchez would have been a better fit for the way we play. He is not Suarez either, but would have fitted in with our pressing from the front style. Until we find another forward who never gives up, then yes, Suarez will be casting a long shadow over Anfield. You boys should consider yourselves lucky that Sanchez' wife is such a shopaholic....}

1.) Lol Ed, I heard his wife had a big say in what club he joined, favouring Arsenal so she can shop in London.

{Ed044's Note - correct DG. I heard she'd have been happy with a move to QPR, as long as she was near the shops...}

2.) Would have been simpler for Sanchez to find a new wife and join a decent club

{Ed042's Note - Have a look at Sanchez's wife? Would anyone really want to give her up?

You lucky ba****ds lol

dagenham gunner

{Ed044's Note - thanks DG. Although I'm not sure the performance has given us much to smile about. Still, playing as badly as we are, we're still not far behind you in the league. Oh, hang on....}

1.) Is that a direct quote from Steve Bruce?

2.) Rather be lucky than good any day. And we certainly weren't the latter. We are very likely to get crushed by Real Madrid this Wednesday. I don't know if my soul can take it.
