Anyone seen Arteta’s presser today? He’s saying that they’ve been matching us for the last 15 games before their defeat at the weekend.

I think someone needs to explain to him that when you are already behind you need to do better than the team ahead. Maths is obviously not his strong point.

He can match us until the end of the season if he likes, that’ll suit us just fine thanks Michel.

Honestly can’t people read between the lines?

If you listened to Eddie Howe’s post match interview yesterday he said he can’t wait until the transfer window is closed so he can have clarity in his squad.

Do you think if Isak is still there he has any clarity? Absolutely not!

Howe has always said he wants Isak to stay and reintegrate but over the past few days he’s saying he doesn’t know as he’s not dealing with the discussions.

He obviously knows Isak is going. It’s pretty obvious to me.

All I’m reading is how poorly we played.

Am I the only one who loved that performance?

We went into the lion’s den and took all 3 points! Even better than that we thought we’d won it only to be pegged back but had it in us to go again!

How can you not love that?

We are not going to dominate every game and this was a game we were never going to be able to dominate. It was always going to be tough which is why we all had a bit of trepidation going into it.

But wow, we stood up to it and our quality shone through. They scored from a couple of balls launched forward but that can happen in any game.

We held our nerve and found the winner which puts us in really good stead for the season.

I really don’t know what people expect. Do you want the opposition to just lie down and accept defeat?

It’ll be a tough season and there will be setbacks but we can trust this manager and this team to get the job done.

The plan was obviously to slow it down and take the emotion out of the game.

Was going to plan but 2 set pieces got them back into it.

But hey, that why we’re champions, we win at all costs.

Well done Rio that was a great finish under intense pressure.

Just a thought on Eddie Howe in all of this. I don’t understand how he could still want to pick Isak anyway. For me it shows what weak manager he really is.

Could you imagine if they had Shankly, Paisley, Ferguson, Klopp, Guardiola in charge?

Isak’s feet wouldn’t touch the ground he’d have been chucked out weeks if not months ago with a big size 9 footprint on his back!

I’m not sure how much sway Howe would have so maybe I’m being a bit unfair but surely if he had any bllx he would just go to the club and tell them to get rid?
