Evening Ben and Reet,

What's your views of the Suarez ban?
Do you think that he should have just been given an International ban (ie just representing his country), seeing as though he was playing for Uruguay at the time.

A 'Liverpool' ban seems a tad harsh to me, although I guess the whole idea is to punish him at club level to so he doesn't do it again, whoever he is playing for.

{Special Guest ben - LFC aside, I think FIFA have got it pretty spot on(for a change). I know it hurts LFC, but that's not FIFAs fault. The only reason the ban is so severe is because of his previous, and that has all been at club level. I know you have similar views to me when it comes to his ability, but this can't carry on. The only thing missing from FIFAs judgement was some sort of rehabilitation clause - at least make him spend the suspension period addressing the problem with psychological help.

That's a fair point Ben.

I guess the rehabilitation will fall squarely on the shoulders of LFC.

{Special Guest ben - unfortunately I think it's gone beyond that. I'm not sure LFC fans , never mind the rest of the British public have any patience left. Thanks for the posts DG, it means a lot.

I think banning him from competing or taking part in friendlies for 4 months wouldve sufficed... the thing that i really object to is that he isnt allowed to train
