We've been utter trash so far, need an improvement if we're to win this

{Ed044's Note - told you my predictions are naff..}

1.) 07 Feb 2015
Yup - and mine! Mind you, how embarrassing is it for Everton to play for a draw at home?

{Ed044's Note - In terms of bragging rights, the bitters should be quiet this week. }

2.) 07 Feb 2015
If Lucas is out with injury for Tuesday then Can really needs to start next to Hendo

{Ed044's Note - I have given up trying to second guess BR. I had a conversation with my Lil Bro earlier, and he rightly pointed out the defensive frailties of the diamond formation many of us craved. The thing is, 'formations' are just something for fans to get excited about. The reality is far more fluid. The truth is our '343' is not a lot different than Chelsea's '4231', it's just that Chelsea start with 2 CBs and 2 defensive midfielders, whereas we start with 3 CBS and 1 defensive midfielder. The number of 'defensive' players is the same. So for me, Can would be starting anyway and I expect Allen to be the Lucas 'replacement'...}

3.) 08 Feb 2015
Aye but Can would offer a lot more drive going forward in midfield and is more than capable of protecting the defence. Allen presses well but too many sideways passes for my liking

{Ed044's Note - who replaces Can in defence then?}

4.) 08 Feb 2015
Ed004, this is one debate that could have been resolved if a certain Mr Kelly had stayed at the club instead of being forced out by Brendan. Can could have been moved into midfield with Kelly slotting in at RCB. Unfortunately i see Johnson starting against spurs and Can moving to CDM.

{Ed001's Note - surely Lovren can't be a worse option than Johnson or Allen in midfield?}

5.) 08 Feb 2015
You would like to think so Ed...
I hope his confidence is back and play him, and push Can into Lucas's position.

6.) 08 Feb 2015
Lovren should come in for Can so he can move into midfield. He was awful before Christmas but so were the team in general ...

7.) 08 Feb 2015
Ed001, i meant Johnson is likely to start but i would like to see Lovren given another shot but we all know dear Brendan will do nothing of the sort. Shocking team selection against Everton, clearly showing his inexperience.

{Ed001's Note - I agree mate, I was just saying that it is madness freezing Lovren out.}

8.) 08 Feb 2015
Agree with ed001. I'm sure lovren will get his chance to prove himself as Sakho has. Lovren's best performance this season was behind Lucas against Swansea in the league cup, don't think that's a coincidence
