I think that it is about time that our club needs to get written clarification from the FA regarding how to conduct a possible transfer and what is tapping up. We have been guilty of this from academy through to first teamers. I know that we are not the only ones doing this but at the moment the spotlight is on us. Do it right or don't do it at all. If I was a chairman of another club I would point blank refuse to deal with us. We would gain more respect from other clubs if we negotiated in the right way and quietly.

All of the talk about which player we, as fans would like to sign and advice to
Klopp as to which players we want is laughable really. Never mind the star players who can take on 20 players and score a worldy goal. its a couple of tough characters we need. Players who don't lie down and don't give up. A couple of players who you can rely on when things go bad. Fighters who get the others giving an extra 5%. Real leaders with attitude. You can have the best 11 players who can roll over teams but when it comes to a battle, a couple of them go missing. A real leader wouldn't let them hide. Second half of the final was an example, no fighters. All of our great teams have had characters who did not like losing, wouldn't accept a loss. All players at this level can play football. Not all have the heart for a battle. My opinion anyway. Not telling Klopp who to sign, he knows more than me.

If anyone is interested in Liverpool, the club and its history I recommend reading a biography of Joe Fagan called Joe Fagan. Brilliant read and a great insight into what made the club into what it is now. How the boot room started and the man who was there with Shankly and Paisley, through those days of struggle and then onto glory. Joe, an honest and very well respected man who became our manager and who Never changed. Fantastic read.

So, the clear out has begun. With Rossiter gone, trickett smith and jerome Sinclair have now departed. There will be a lot more before the start of next season. Looks like the management team have had a good look at the staff and decided who is going and who we want. Lowering the playing staff and wages will be a priority. We have far too many players and not enough quality. Interesting summer me thinks and not before time.

I feel that I must comment on the Everton fans imitation of Man Utd last night. At times it was like listening to the Man Utd fans. To think that some of those fans had family or close friends who either lost their lives or suffered at Hillsborough and still were singing songs about it tells a lot.

The victims song and Murderers songs do not belong at any match let alone a Merseyside Derby. I know it is only a minority but what is up with these people? Even though they were booed by their own fans. Are they real Scousers or is it the out of towners who feel that they have to be different.? Well, you get what you deserve and last night they got it. I know that football fans are never happy but last night made me happy.

I agree, he should be suspended, from England duty for 5 years. All good for Liverpool. Whilst we are at it lets suspend Woy for being a prat and a football dinosaur. And let's go further and suspend the F.A. For being prats in appointing such a prat instead of a modern thinking manager.

{Ed044's Note - the whole episode is pathetic. I see nothing wrong in a player being honest about honest about his condition. It shows maturity for a nineteen year old. If the England manager can't cope with a pointed question from a (Liverpool) Journalist without dropping one of his younger players in it, then it's a sorry state of affairs.}

Dennis law scoring for man city. A goal that relegated man Utd around 1973/4. Almost as good as being in Rome in 1977 to see our first European Cup win.

The way he is playing I would swap Ballotelli for his pet pig.

Club all day long. I remember the treatment that Liverpool players, especially John Barnes received from the Engerlund supporters. In the 80s. I, ll support any Liverpool players if they are playing for their respective countries

{Ed044's Note - fair point Robbie..}
