Ed001 question for you i just read a pretty piss poor article on benteke and that if klopp was really a good manager he'd have got a lot more out of benteke tbh the article is dross suggesting the other 10 players should adapt to benteke no mention of benteke adapting constantly bringing up claudio ranieri and what he has done with the leicester team and players like vardy what do you think or heard do you think klopp could have done more to accomodate benteke in the team or is it just benteke is truly a lazy tosser and no matter who was manager it wouldn't make no difference or somewhere in the middle lol.

giblet

{Ed001's Note - I don't understand why anyone should change ten players style of play to accomodate one lazy player's needs? Ranieri's team focus on hard work, it is all about working hard for each other, so only a moron could use Ranieri as an example of how Benteke could have been used! I don't know who wrote the article you mentioned, but he is clearly embarrassingly clueless about the subject matter he chose. Benteke is the one that needs to put in effort, until he does so it matters little whether the style is changed or not. Top teams work for each other.}

Totally with you on this one Ed 1. That's not the way we should work at all. The players fit the system, even Barcelona pretty much work to that idea.

This is for banter but using mobile only brings up ruomours post firstly not been on for a while personal and rl stuff to deal with question for Ed001 if hes around how do you rate the job gary monk has done at swansea and how about Laudrup for a dof position wanted your thoughts and any others on it

giblet

{Ed001's Note - Gary Monk has done ok with a complete lack of quality at his disposal, but he has taken over a club with everything in place, so difficult to judge him. Until they start creating chances they will never push on though.

Please no to Laudrup. Why would you even consider him? What has he done to suggest he would be any use?}

1.) Tbh dont know why i came up with him lol was just thinking of former players younger players may look upto but yeah your most probably right he has been pretty poor except 1 season with swansea lol

{Ed001's Note - he is a Liverpool fan, but his record is poor.}

seriously do you guys think theres any chance sturridge henderson and sterling could follow gerrards lead and retire from international football id be much happier if they did this sturridge injury is worrying hopefully if theres any chance it could be made worse they wont risk him in England game in all honesty iv never been less bothered about england i used to but years of underwhelming performances just leave me non plussed

giblet

{Ed042's Note - that would be so good lallana also. I mean what was the use of the last set of friendlies?

1.) Common, if I'm a professional athlete, there's no stopping me from representing my country. I doubt they're retiring any time soon.

{Ed042's Note - Although representing the country is a big honor the placement of these internationals is just crazy

2.) Representing your country should be a huge honour in this country they all look scared to death whenever they pull on a england shirt any mistajes slaughtered by the press get sent off they hang effigies ala the beckham sending off i think if we at least had a decent manager that tried to play good football it would be more bearable but its dross someone should ask martinez to do it part time not sure everton would like that the ginger mourinho sean dyche if Burnley dont stay up hodgson i still wake up in cold sweats thinking about when he was in charge of us i have nightmares about konchesky and poulson in a red shirt

{Ed042's Note - How they continue with Hodgson is beyond me. England have some good players atm but under Hodgson they will always be a terrible team.
Sean Dyche would be a good shout

3.) Hodgson is a football dinosaur. Whoever thought Hodgson is the man to turn around the England team know "sweet FA" (pun intended) about football. Probably the same person appointed McLaren.
-He has zero charisma
-His ideas were outdated 20 years ago.
-He has a track record of taking average under performing teams and restoring them to mediocrity.

Where is the innovation? Picking a few teenagers and asking them to play 4-4-2 hoofball?

I have very little against the man, he may be a very pleasant chap, but England have a qualifying group to die for, they can't fail to qualify. So get rid of Bodgson, bring in someone who plays fast attacking possession football, start winning games 6-4 not 1-0 and that will get the fans back and keep the players happy.

On the point of the press and players being scared to make a mistake. Are we being serious? A backbone should be a pre-requisite of any international sportsman, unless you're an international limbo dancer.

{Ed042's Note - hard to disagree to that especially the limbo dancer part

what so you think about the alex song speculation we do need a proper dm if lucas goes but I think we could do better medel would have been roughly same fee I waa trying to think about song at arsenal dont really think I remember him playing that could be a good thing tho if we truly are interested could be just him wanting the move he keeps mentioning lfc tho

giblet

{Ed044's Note - all the obsessions with labels perhaps clouds this issue with a defensive midfielder. Song is a good player, and would fit in quite nice with us, but the idea surely is to have a midfield that presses without the ball, and creates when it has the ball. A 'defensive' midfielder is only one step away from 3 CBs really....}

I had a great idea whilst shopping earlier to get a few players of the wage bill we follow asda and sell a player get 1 free say 12 mill for agger get coates free or at least maybe a buy 1 get 1 half price maybe sell lucas get assaidi half price I really think were missing a trick we could revolutionise the transfer market if we take this approach if that doesnt work could always organise a car boot in the car park on a sunday morning see if we can drum any interest up there also charge the other clubs who attend hundred grand a stall its a win win ill be applying for a job in marketing/finance at lfc ill let you know what they think to my fantastic new way of offloading surplus stock

{Ed044's Note - time to make that call to Ian Ayre giblet..}

Did he throw a tantrum must have missed that when ot was revealed here but Ed001 who turned down the bid from city that's what I want to know if i'm having a guess i'd say rodgers.

giblet

{Ed001's Note - it was long before Rodgers, it was back when he was a regular with Agger carrying him. Agger refused to listen to any offers as he wanted to stay and play for us. Skrtel heard about the offers and threw a tantrum about wanting to go, got dropped as a result and ended up getting a new contract with a big pay rise to stay.}

Aye swapping your first 11 for pretty much a complete new first 11 sounds like a winning idea I wonder why most other teams don't do it.
